I am very pleased to endorse Randy Brogdon for Oklahoma Republican Party State Chair! I have known Randy and Donna for many years and am blessed to count them both friends.

I remember my Dad and I sat down with then Senator Randy Brogdon quite a few years ago and visited on the criteria he used on considering legislation dealing with issues he may not be familiar with. I remember Randy’s response. Randy said he would look at it as any issue and would ask one question; “Does the legislation take away freedom or give freedom to the issue or individual it is dealing with?”

Following Randy for many years I have always been impressed with his willingness to listen and work with others rather than bulldozing through to accomplish a goal.

I believe it is vital that our next State Chairman has the important quality a leader needs—listening. Randy strongly believes that our Republican Party is built by the Grassroots from the bottom up, not to be run from the top down.

I encourage fellow delegates to the Oklahoma Republican State Convention this Saturday to join me in casting their ballot for Randy Brogdon as our next Oklahoma Republican Party Chairman.

Open Letter from Kenny Bob Tapp – Because He is Not for Sale! – Vote Reminder for Tuesday August 26th

“Your VOTE will count tomorrow, Tuesday, August 26th in the runoff!

Since making it to the runoff, I have been asked by many, “What sets you apart from your opponent?”

Since announcing and running for this seat for over a year, now, I have vowed to keep the oath to protect and defend the Constitution and the Constitution of Oklahoma as your legislator. I’ve stated many times, that “you might not like what I say, but I will always tell you the truth.” I have never told anyone during my visits with folks what I think they want to hear.

All the endorsements that I have announced have been actual endorsements; I have not “implied” anything written or in print that is not verifiable. My ads have ALL been approved by me so that you, the citizens of District 61 wouldn’t and couldn’t be deceived by a hired spin-doctor or wordsmith.

My real life experience as a rancher, oil-field worker, and roust about has helped to define the importance of common sense and good judgment in everyday life.

As a young, energetic man, I have worked within the Oklahoma Grassroots for 8 years. We have gained ground in our efforts to fight for the Right to Life of the unborn (Personhood) in which more work needs to be done. I’ve worked, at the grassroots level, to preserve property rights. My service within the Oklahoma Republican Party as Cimarron County Chair, has afforded me the opportunity to work and build relationships with other legislators, watch the process at the Capitol, and understand the proper role of government. I am equipped to hit the ground running on day one, to represent the needs of District 61.

I support Constitutional Carry and have received the endorsement of the Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Association. I am a member in good standing of Gunowners of America.

I support the complete elimination of the Oklahoma Income Tax by eliminating spending that does not benefit the state as a whole. Returning our spending level to below 2003 spending levels will provide for full repeal without raising property taxes.

I am not endorsed by the State Chamber of Commerce and the tall building crowd that promotes our dollars being spent on OKC projects such as the Indian Cultural Center, while ignoring Western Oklahoma and the Panhandle. I believe to truly keep the Panhandle and Western Oklahoma RELEVANT, our next representative must steer clear of “dark money” front groups with their strings attached. Those strings will only serve to strangle our family values and rural lifestyle.KBT is Not for Sale

I believe the choice is clear. The honor of receiving your vote Tuesday, August 26th is a vote for regular folks and against the status quo.

Don’t be deceived by rumors and innuendo being floated on my actual positions on many issues. If you have questions, you can reach me on my cell phone (580) 516-1907, leave a message if need be and I will call you back.”

Kenny Bob Tapp, Local Rancher and GOP Official Seeks Legislative Seat

Oklahoma City – Lifelong Cimarron County resident Kenny Bob Tapp filed paperwork for Oklahoma House District 61. Tapp is a rancher, oil field pumper and roustabout who served as Cimarron County’s GOP County Chairman from 2009 to 2013 and was a delegate to the 2012 Republican National Convention in Tampa, Florida. As Republican County Chair, Tapp was known for his ability to reach out to Democrats and Independents advocating conservative principles.

Tapp stepped down from his leadership in the Republican Party to conduct a grassroots campaign for the District 61 seat. He holds that his leadership experience in the private sector and within the Republican Party will allow him to hit the ground running as the next State Representative from the Panhandle and Northwest Oklahoma. Tapp is a member of Gun Owners of America and OK2A, the Oklahoma 2nd Amendment Association.

“Being a working man myself, I understand the importance of having real representation of working people at the state level. I am aware of many of the issues we all face, because I grew up here and have pursued ranching as my livelihood. I will work for common sense solutions in our state capitol and with our local leaders to keep government limited and constitutional,” said Tapp.

Since announcing his candidacy last year, Tapp has attended many events reaching out to residents from every walk of life across the Panhandle and Northwest Oklahoma. Citizens have provided Tapp with feedback expressing concern over the growing size of government, the need to retain local control of education, the dangers of Common Core to education, the need for improved highway funding for Western Oklahoma and the right to keep and bear arms.

Tapp firmly holds conservative beliefs that are main stream throughout House District 61. Tapp promises to continue to battle the implementation of the “Affordable Care Act” or better known as “Obamacare” in Oklahoma, defend the unalienable right to life of the unborn, and the streamlining of state government in order to lower taxes.
Tapp states “First and foremost, as a legislator, I would actively seek to repeal legislation and regulations that hinders the freedom of everyday Oklahomans.”

Common Core is NOT OK says GOP and Kenny Bob Tapp

ok_gop_seal2-150x150Last week the Oklahoma Republican Party State Committee voted overwhelmingly to oppose Common Core education, directing our state chairman to convey those wishes to the Governor, the State Superintendent and the State Legislature. I was honored to join fellow Republicans from across Oklahoma in passing this vital resolution.

While traveling the district, I have found that Common Core has been a major concern to educators, parents and students.

Please like and share if you are opposed to the centralized control of our education and the data collection on our students when it comes to Common Core!
